We take pride in hand raising our Bengal Kittens our Bengals are part of the family, bottle fed from the time they are born while still nursing with mom they get used to their human companions from the start.

We started breeding with a vision in mind we truly believe that the foundation bengals we start our breeding program with determine the personalities of the Bengal kittens. It is very important to socialize your Bengal but if the parents are not sweet and sociable to begin with, chances are the kittens will show signs of that similar temperment. We will only breed from Champion stock and super sweet affectionate adult Bengals.

This does not guarantee that every Bengal Cat will turn out with a perfect personality, but a Nahanni Bengal is almost sure to. Every Bengal Cat bloodline has an Asian Leopard Cat in it's background. The Asian Leopard Cat (which is a scittish and very shy animal by nature) is in a Bengal bloodline, once in a while the personality trait of the Asian Leopard Cat does surface and it is what we at Nahanni Bengal cats New York breed away from. We will never breed a Bengal that shows any signs of excessive shyness or scittishness no matter how beautiful the Bengal Cat is!
